Clear Choice Group LLC, doing business as Choice Career Fairs (“Choice Career Fairs,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), operates in-person career fairs and the website at choicecareerfairs.com. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices available to you.
1. Information we collect
From job seekers
- Registration details: name, email address, mobile number, and the event you registered for.
- Resume and job preferences: a resume or CV file if you choose to upload one, along with the roles, industries, and locations you tell us you are interested in.
- Attendance data: check-in records, including QR ticket scans, at the event.
- Event registration through third parties: if you register through Eventbrite, we receive the information you provide to Eventbrite for that order.
From employers and exhibitors
- Contact details for the people booking and staffing a booth, company name, billing information, and your hiring needs.
- Records of our communications with you and the terms of your booth agreement.
Automatically collected
- IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, and referring URL.
- Analytics and advertising measurement data described in section 5.
2. How we use information
- To process your registration, issue your ticket, and check you in at the event.
- To send you event logistics — confirmations, reminders, venue directions, and changes.
- To share candidate information with exhibitors at an event you registered for, subject to your choices.
- To respond to employer inquiries and fulfill booth bookings.
- To operate, secure, and improve our website and events, and to measure our advertising.
- To comply with legal obligations and enforce our agreements.
3. How candidate information is shared with employers
Attending an event is an introduction to employers, so the information you choose to share can be shared with the exhibitors of the event you attend. If you upload a resume, we may provide it to the participating employers for that event. We do not sell your resume to unrelated third parties.
You may opt out of resume sharing when you register. If you opt out, you can still attend the event and speak with employers in person, but your resume will not be distributed digitally.
4. Service providers
We use third-party providers who process information on our behalf, including:
- Eventbrite for event registration and ticket sales.
- Amazon Web Services (SES) for transactional email delivery.
- Pipedrive for employer and sales relationship management.
- QuickBooks Online for invoicing and payment processing.
- Meta and Google for advertising measurement and, where accepted, conversion tracking.
Each provider is bound by its own privacy terms and processes data only for our stated purposes.
5. Cookies and advertising technology
We use cookies and similar technologies to keep your session working, to understand which pages are used, and to measure the performance of our advertising on Google and Meta. You can control cookies through your browser settings. Where required by law, we ask for consent before setting advertising cookies.
6. Communications and consent
By registering for an event, you agree to receive transactional messages about that event. If you give us consent to receive marketing messages — including by email or SMS — you may withdraw that consent at any time by clicking “unsubscribe” in an email, replying STOP to a text message, or contacting us at the address in section 9. Consent to marketing is never a condition of attending an event.
7. Retention and security
We keep registration and attendance records for as long as needed to operate our events and maintain business records, typically up to 24 months after an event unless a longer period is required by law. Resumes are retained for the period described in the registration flow and may be removed on request.
We protect information with administrative, technical, and physical safeguards, including encrypted transmission, access controls, and least-privilege access for staff and vendors. No system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to request access to the personal information we hold about you, request correction or deletion, opt out of marketing, or opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. To exercise any of these rights, email privacy@choicecareerfairs.com. We will verify your request and respond within the time required by applicable law. You may also use an authorized agent to submit a request on your behalf.
We do not knowingly collect information from children under 16.
